High Point Baseball Game

On Wednesday we took a road trip to High Point. It was a beautiful, sunny day in the 60's. Tait and Grayson played around the stadium while High Point played UNCG. Tait's highlight was finding an old home run baseball and his low light was losing it through the fence. Meltdown! The game went back and forth, but HP pulled out a W in the end. We enjoyed dinner with Matt and Zach (his roommate) and a visit to Matt's new apartment. The boys sure miss Uncle Matt!

GETAWAY TO THE NC MOUNTAINS

We spent a weekend away in the mountains with our best buddies, the Swinehart family. Five boys four and under and four adults in a beautiful home (thanks to some friends)=crazy fun! We were hoping for snow, but the warmer, sunny weather made it just right for some hikes.

It's amazing how a little bit of shaving cream can provide hours of entertainment. A joy to see these little guys developing a relationship that even goes beyond hitting and wrestling!

Snow in Charlotte

Yes, on Thursday, February 1st, Charlotte, North Carolina was hit with a snow storm. Milk, bread and eggs were depleted from the stores. Schools and offices were closed. After 1.5 inches of beautiful snow, on-and-off sleet, and all-day rain, the storm subsided. So we hit the hills of the golf course in the back yard! Soaked to the onesies, but it was worth it!

Discovery Place Visit

We ventured to Discovery Place in uptown Charlotte for the first time (1.31.07). The boys had fun exploring the museum with their buddies Tyler, Bryce and Dylan. Stuffed animals, aquariums, 3-story rain forest, sour candy, and the kids play place were a few of our favorites.

We finally got our Christmas crap put away today. Pine needles all over, light strings tangled, ornaments shoved in boxes, and worst of all, no more egg nog. Grayson has lost his favorite form of entertainment. No longer can he secretively pull ornaments off the tree and run in the opposite direction.
