Grayon's Dedication

Grayson was dedicated on January 25th. Our church held a Friday night service where almost 30 kids were dedicated. Gray, Mommy and Daddy got to walk across the stage and light a candle for Grayson. Then the service proceeded with a song, parental prayer and commitment, brief message, and time of prayer. It was a sweet, little evening. We are thankful for Grayson's life!

Big Snow In Charlotte

On January 17th we had our first big snow! It was snowing beautifully throughout the night, big flurries and attempting to stick to the ground. Tait and Daddy got outside right away that morning, 7:15 sharp (still a little dark). They made a huge snowman (about 1.5 feet tall:) and Tait came in within minutes, soaked and cold from the rain! Unfortunately, the snowflakes had already turned into raindrops, and then it rained the rest of the day. Grayson slept in and missed the big outing. Not to worry though, lots of school canceled in the South.

New Year's Guests

Nana, Papa, Marissa, Aunt Leah, Uncle Ben and Cousin JR! Fun Allen Times: family gift exchange, games and puzzles, trip to the city--riding the Lynx train and visiting Imaginon, lots of food, project nursery, Christmas shopping/exchanges, first lunch at Chick Fil-A and lots of laughs. Happy 2008!

Christmas

A fun family morning! Christmas breakfast, stockings and gifts and a little basketball! After naps we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Bards' house, our good Charlotte friends.

More Boys

What a week! Can't beat 75 degrees in December! The boys have been outside everyday and Tait even wore some shorts one day. They had a fun playdate with Bryce and Dylan!

Five Boys

The boys had a slumber party on the night of the Hayden Harper Christmas party. It was an entertaining morning with five boys five and under. We got a little taste of what some parents experience daily.

The Allen Post Office

The boys celebrated their 4th and 2nd birthdays with a mail birthday brunch. They invited all boys to be mail"MEN" (with the exception of a few baby sisters or helping older sisters). The letter hunt with mail bags and the mail truck pinata with candy were the big hit! Tait chose a letter cake and Grayson had a mailbox cake. Happy Birthday!

Thanksgiving in the Mountains

We enjoyed a fun week in the NC mountains for Thanksgiving. Lots of hiking, eating, laughing, playing games, eating, chatting and eating (did i mention eating). Some hikes (or hikers!) were a little crazier than others. The boys had a blast with all the family that traveled to join us!

TACO TIME

Uncle Matt (or Uncle Matty Boy as he's often referred to) is an amazing uncle. Tait and Grayson adore him! He always has fun games involving chasing, tickling, wrestling, etc. "Taco time" has become one of the boys' favorites!

Fall Fun

The boys had fun raking leaves with Daddy. I'm not sure exactly how helpful they were:)! And Mommy had some fall fun with getting a shorter do. Still can't quite compete with the crazy mullet hair-do!
